Using evidence-based approaches to social justice, we use data to create levers for social, cultural and policy change. Center for Policing Equity also holds a 501(c)3 status.
CAREER OPPORTUNITY
The Institute for Criminal Justice Training Reform exists to to save lives and reduce injury among the public and the police by reforming the deeply-flawed, inadequate, and antiquated training models, policies, procedures, and legislative standards for employees in the United States' Criminal Justice System, particularly for those with the power to arrest, detain, commit, and kill.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
Police should have the skills and cultural competence to protect and serve our communities without killing people. Mental health crises should not be excuses for heavy-handed police interventions and are best handled by mental health professionals. We think Mental Health Response Teams should be established and funded to respond to crisis situations. These approaches have been proven to reduce police use of force in these situations. Unnecessary police brutality must stop and police forces MUST be given the correct training. They should not be trained with violence and should be trained to have compassion and care for the communities they serve.
EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY
We do not condone and never will accept violence as an answer for change! This site aims to change matter with good intent only.
