We break down complex issues, showcase the people creating a path to a better tomorrow, and keep you well-informed on the smog trying to halt the accelerated progress we need to see, like, now.”

LEARNING AND VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Honor The Earth was established by Winona LaDuke and Indigo Girls Amy Ray and Emily Sailers. Since its founding in 1993 they have regranted over two million dollars to over 2oo Native American communities. Honor the Earth helps work on transitions from our destructive economy and way of life, back towards land based economics. They champion intergenerational and interspecies equity and systems that honor our natural resources. Our “highly destructive economy has reached material limits and is now resorting to extreme extraction.” Weather the removal of 500 mountaintops in Appalachia (largely for foreign coal contracts), extreme mining proposals in the Great Lakes region to Fracking and tar sands extraction. We are clearly on a scorched earth path and it is up to us to stop it.
VOLUNTEER AND EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
Greenpeace works to change the way we humans relate to nature and to each other. They work to dismantle the broken systems and global power structures that have failed humans and the earth. Greenpeace is pretty badass and take direct action. They walk the walk.
